Our Story

Our adventure began in Seattle in late 2017, thanks to our mutual friend (shout out to Sophia Arim!). Fresh out of college, we quickly became friends, and by May of 2018, that friendship blossomed into something deeper. After about a year and a half of dating, we made the leap to move in together, marking the start of a new chapter.

In 2021, we grew our little family with Maple, our playful pup, and then in 2022, we packed up and moved to Amsterdam for a job opportunity. Since then, we’ve traveled to 15+ countries, embracing new cultures and making unforgettable memories along the way. Our love for travel has taken us to some of our favorite places—Lisbon, for example, where Spencer proposed in the most romantic setting at sunset. That moment was the perfect reflection of our journey: spontaneous, filled with adventure, and made even more special by being together.

Alongside our travels, we’ve spent countless weekends skiing, attending music festivals, and exploring the outdoors—whether hiking in the Swiss Alps or relaxing in a cozy cabin. We’ve supported each other through career changes, survived a global pandemic, and weathered life’s ups and downs with unwavering love.

A special part of our relationship is Spencer’s dedication to learning Vietnamese, as a way to connect with my culture and hold his own against the Viet uncles.

Now, here we are, getting married in Spain on our 8th anniversary, one of our favorite countries we've frequented. Our wedding reflects the love we share for discovering the world together, and we’re beyond excited to start this next chapter in our adventure.
